Fresh Farmhouse Interior Mood Board – Family Room
Hello, Arts & Classy readers! I am super excited to be guest posting for the awesome Meredith today! My name is Christy, and I’m a design-loving full-time house flipper and blogger at The Harper House, where I share our latest exploits in house flipping and all things housey, including stunning farmhouse interior designs that will surely inspire you!
Since spring is finally here, I thought I’d whip up a fun spring mood board for you guys. I love mood boards. They’re a great way to throw things together to get a feel for how they will work in your space. You can play with the colors and textures virtually (and hopefully save yourself from buying endless accessories and things that just won’t work.)
Do you know when you go to the fitting room in the store to try on that fab pair of skinny jeans you love? But then you discover, they just don’t look as hot as you hoped. Well, mood boards are your house’s fitting room.
So let’s get started! I am lovin’ the farmhouse interior feel from designers like Fixer Upper’s Joanna Gaines, but sometimes I like to mix in a little modern pop of color too. So here’s my take on a fresh farmhouse family room, perfect for spring:
- SOFA
- ART
- TREE
- BASKET
- SIGN
- TABLE
- SUCCULENTS
- LAMP
- CLOCK (similar)
- CABINET
- CURTAINS
- CHAIR
- STUMP
- CANDLE
- FERN PRINT
- BUFFALO CHECK PILLOW
- VASES
- FLORAL
- BARN PRINT
- g PILLOW
- PINK PILLOW
- RUG
So what did you think? My favorite thing in the whole design has got to be this:
I mean, you can never go wrong with a pink cow print right? Teil Duncan is an absolutely amazing artist based in Charleston, SC.
I recently gifted myself with this print for Valentine’s Day (much to my hubby’s delight since he didn’t have to shop!) Her use of color is mind-blowing – be sure to check out her awesome Instagram account that will leave you drooling and wanting to grab your beach bag stat!
Can we all give Meredith some virtual high-fives for letting me come over and post today? Thanks so much! She is killing it in the blog world and I’m so happy to call her my new virtual friend. Isn’t blogging great? If you enjoyed my post today, I’d love for you to visit me over on my blog: The Harper House or check me out on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
Have an awesome week!
