Makeover Edition: Easy No Sew Accent Pillow Room Decoration
You don’t need a sewing machine to create this awesome DIY no-sew accent pillow! Check out this amazing Parisian-themed accent pillow I created.
Do you know how to sew? I DO but I am without a sewing machine! I know… a sad story.
I even took a couple of costuming classes in college where I made my own decorative accent pillow room decoration. I wish I still could, but until I get a sewing machine, this is a great solution to recover some ugly old pillows. Breathe some new life into something old.
The good news for this project is you do not need a sewing machine or any knowledge of sewing to complete it!

This no sew accent pillow cover took me about 30 minutes to do and also cost me NOTHING to make.

- Ruler
On to the tutorial!
How to make a DIY No Sew Accent Pillow
Measure your existing pillow. Mine was 16”x16” So I allowed for a 3/4” seam allowance on all sizes of this measurement = 16-3/4” x 16-3/4”
Cut your fabric to the dimensions your calculate in step 1.
Once your 2 fabrics are cut, flip them face to face {i.e the cover will be inside out when you go to glue the sides.)
Hot glue 3 sizes on the line before the seam allowance, leaving the bottom your last opening.
Cut all the corners of the cover flipped inside out. Just a diagonal small cut from the seam allowance towards the base where the hot glue is. Snip just above the hot glue. This will give your pillows perfect corners.
Then flip the cover right side out.
Stuff the pillow into the cover.
Flip the fabric on itself and hot glue the sides together to close the opening of the pillow.
Celebrate! You are finished with this project! Enjoy your new DIY no sew accent pillow.
This project took me no time at all and as I said before, didn’t cost me anything. I have the supplies I needed in stock.
{Thank goodness for my 2nd room/office space.}
